Lately I keep seeing posts about stay at home moms and how their husbands “made it happen.” And while I truly believe staying home is meaningful, valuable work, I also want to talk about the message that often comes along with it.
Somehow, every January, routines get marketed like they’re supposed to fix everything.
I keep hearing this phrase lately.
January has a funny way of making us feel like we’re already behind.
I used to be embarrassed to admit this… but I don’t really have friends right now. And honestly? I’ve finally stopped feeling guilty about it.
If you’ve ever tried to get your child to tell you anything about their day and ended up with one word answers, you’re not alone. So many parents (me included!) have been stuck in the “Good. School. Nothing.” conversation loop.
